I'm A Big Kid Now

I bought a training toilet a couple weeks ago and Cole has been trying it out. He wakes up and say, "Potty". So I take him and he sits for a little bit and nothing. But when he poops he tells me he has to "potty" but we never make it on time. I also bought him some Elmo underwear since he loves Elmo and he wore them for a little bit.
We are on week 2 of Cole sleeping in a toddler bed. The first night was a long one. Every night since then has gotten better. He has done some funny things while sleeping in his new bed. His second night he got up and for some reason opened up the door to the closet in the hall and was just crying. When I came down to get him, I couldn't see anything because the door was blocking my way. Another time he was taking a nap, started crying opened his door and then went to lay down and went right back to sleep.

We got all the grand kids together when Zach was down and this was the best picture I had.

Last weekend we went down to the farm and we had a great time. Elliott's co-worker Andrew and his wife came with us. They shot guns, went fishing, shot the potato launcher, and swam in the pond. The boys had a blast.

Cole was the last person on the bike before Zach wrecked it. (For story details check his blog) Cole already misses that bike.

I just love this picture of Isabel. She is a tough baby. Not sure what is wrong with her. I thought it was acid reflux, then I thought it was gas, so now I'm not so sure. She has been smiling for a couple weeks now.

After a sleepless night and playing all day in the sun, at the farm, Cole finally crashed while watching Elliott play a game. My laughing made the camera shake.

Elliott's Weekend

This weekend was all about Elliott since it was his birthday. Friday his friend/co-worker and his wife decorated his cubicle. They did an awesome job.

Monday we went to the Scarborough Fair. Cole and Elliott rode an elephant and loved it. Cole got to feed some goats and rabbits.

Izzie did a pretty good job in the heat. She got so hot she had to show of her stomach.

Also, Natasha had Giovanny on Elliott's birthday. We are glad he is here. He seems so tiny next to Izzie.

Finales

The end of the season for all my shows have of course left me on the edge of my seat.
WARNING: if you have not seen these shows then don't read on.
Heroes-I cant believe Sylar/Nathan is gone. I think Sylar's memory will come back because he can heal.
Lost- Will they really go back (or forward) in time and land in CA?
Dancing with the Stars- I thought Melissa or Giles would win, I was surprised.
Celebrity Apprentice- I think Joan only won because Trump likes her so much. Even though Annie is very manipulative, she should have won.
The Office- Yeah, Pam is pregnant. Are we going to see their wedding?
My Name is Earl- Of course Earl is Dodge's dad. But who's the other kid's dad? Man, Joy has been around.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, the shocker for me:
Grey's Anatomy- Are they really killing off 2 characters? I can't believe that was George, and poor Izzie.
Needless to say, I watch a lot of shows. This summer is going to be a long one to wait for these shows.

Joys of Being a Mother

Cole just loves Izzie. He is still kissing her all the time and wanting to hold her all the time. I bring out the camera a lot and he is always in the middle of saying "cheese" when I take the pictures.

I just love being a mother! This is my favorite job in the world. I could not have asked for better kids. I truly appreciate my mother since I have become a mother. It is a tough job and my mom has always made it look so easy. My mom did a great job raising 7 kids. I have learned so much from her and admire all that she has done in her life. She is a very talented woman. So mom, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Izzy has been a pretty good baby, she is working on getting her days and nights straight. She loves being held and loves the swing. I love watching her sleep. I love watching Cole learn new things, especially new words.

Story Time

Ok, I'm finally sitting down to write down the labor and delivery story. It is long and detailed so if you decide to read it, sorry, but this blog is kind of a journal for me now. I guess for a couple of weeks now I have had some kind of contractions. Wednesday the 8th I lost my mucus plug, so I figured she was coming soon. Saturday I went on a walk and the whole time my stomach was tight. After a long time Elliott got his big, I mean HUGE, flat screen t.v. So we had Chase and his girlfriend come over and watched Yes Man. About 11:50 I started to have tightening in my stomach with some, what I thought was gas pains. So I figured for kicks I would time them for an hour. And they were pretty regular, they were 4 mins apart for about 1 min long. When the movie was over I went upstairs to read when I should call the doctor. I sat down on my bed to read then got up, and a huge gush of water came out. I yelled for Elliott and told him it was time. So he frantically was cleaning up and getting our bags ready. I straightened my hair and called the doctor and then called my parents. It was about 1:20am when this happened. The contractions were getting stronger so I knew we had to hurry. When my parents got here Elliott was still trying to get things ready and I went out to the car but didn't make it, I had to get on my hands and knees to get through a contraction. The car trip to the hospital was like 5 mins but felt like forever, it seemed like Elliott was going so slow. My contractions were 2 mins apart by this time. We got to the hospital and I was walking fast, made it to the door but had to get on my hands and knees to get through another contraction. Elliott told me to get up that we had to go. I was crawling through the door. We had to sit down and make sure the paperwork was done. I again had to get to the floor and this time I felt like I had to push. The nurse said to hold on and she wheeled me upstairs. We checked in at 2:09 and I was in a gown and the nurse checked me and I was at a 10 with a +2. They called the doctor to make sure he was coming. Each contraction I felt like I had to push, but the nurse said to hold it and breath through it till the doctor got here. He got there in like 10 mins and got all ready and I pushed 4 times. The last 2 pushes burned so bad. She was out at 2:28am. The cord was wrapped around her neck twice and she had fluid in her lungs. The doctor delivered the placenta and then stitched me up. He was sewing for what seemed like forever. I am so glad it was a quick delivery. This was tons better then my first!
This is us going home. Why does it take them hours to discharge us???
Cole loves to give her kisses. He is trying to be helpful and gentle, but its so hard.

Another intresting week!

This is what happens when I leave Elliott with Cole while I'm at a Pampered Chef party! His first wings, what a mess!
Cole found some glasses and wanted to wear them and the hat. Too funny!

This week many of our expensive things broke so we had to get new ones. Our water heater was leaking so we replaced that, luckily still under warranty. Our oven started beeping at us and wouldn't stop. Elliott figured out we needed a new part that was expensive to get, so we decided to get a new one. Then he broke the lawn mower and that part was expensive too , so we just got a new one. Cole wanted to help his dad mow. He is such a good helper.

All this week I was getting ready for a garage sale. Thanks to my mom and dad for helping, I don't know what I would have done without them. Friday we did pretty good, and Saturday was slow, but after I put everything away I was so hot and exhausted. So Cole and I played in the sprinklers. I'm 39 weeks now and still no baby. I go to the doctor tomorrow and we will see what he says.
