Gone Fish'n

We went to the Farm this past weekend for Elliott to go fishing and relax. We were able to borrow a friend's boat and Cole hated the life jacket. He did have fun learning how to fish. We didn't catch anything on the boat, but we caught some on the farm. And I'm finally putting up our family picture that was taken by Sister Laherty when we had the whole family here. This is our best picture yet!

Happy Birthday Elliott!

Elliott turned 25 last Friday and I think he hates not being a kid anymore. Birthdays just aren't as fun when you get older. Its just another day. I finally surprised him and got him Neil Diamond tickets for October and he is excited.

Cole has been dancing a lot and he loves David Cook. He has learned to say no. Cute now, but I'm sure it wont be later. He is getting his upper tooth in now.

On Sunday we went to fly a kite at Celebration Park. Cole just wouldn't stay on the blanket. So he is on the move now. And no grass stains!!!!!

San Antonio

This past weekend we went to San Antonio for my cousin's wedding reception and rode down with my parents. We camped, because it was cheaper and it was a perfect night to camp. Cole and I didn't get much sleep and our neighbor probably didn't either. We went to the Alamo for just a few minutes to take a picture. This weekend was the Fiesta so we walked all the little shops and I bought some bluebonnet seeds that I cant wait to plant in our new home, where ever that will be.

I have to share our "Storm story"...
So Thursday morning about 4am I was awake and all of a sudden heard an alarm. I saw lightening outside so I turned on the tv and there was a tornado warning for Collin County. So I tried to wake up Elliott and told him we need to get downstairs. I went to wake up my mom and dad and then Whitney and got Cole. It started hailing really bad and our electricity went off. We got downstairs and my dad went to the door and opened it up to watch the storm. Elliott went to go check on his bike. Cole had to have his diaper changed twice since he and I have been kinda sick. So we were waiting it out and it sounded like an airplane flew by. It was really scary. After about 30 mins it was all clear and we went back to sleep. That was the first time in Allen a tornado has been that close.

Zoo

We went to the Dallas Zoo for Cole's first time last week. And of course at his age, it didn't even phase him. But we had fun with the Garland family.
